About Velvet Arcs

The technology team a growing business couldn’t afford ten years ago.

01 / The thesis

For years, reliable data pipelines, automated reconciliation, and systems that simply agree with each other were luxuries reserved for large companies with large engineering budgets. Growing brands were left with a patchwork of tools, fragile automations, and endless spreadsheets.

We started Velvet Arcs after years of building and scaling logistics, fulfillment, marketplace and infrastructure systems at Amazon, AWS and large commerce platforms. We saw firsthand how small gaps between systems — an order routed wrong, an inventory count out of sync — quietly erode margins that nobody notices until the year-end numbers don’t add up.

What changed is the economics. AI has dramatically lowered the cost of building targeted, custom operational software — so a small team of experienced operators can now give a growing business a capability that used to require an in-house technology organisation. Velvet Arcs is a commerce operations technology practice built on exactly that.

We bring that discipline directly to growing businesses. No junior account reps, no open-ended discovery retainers, no bloated tech stack. Two experienced operators who diagnose one problem at a time, quantify it, fix what’s worth fixing, and keep it running.

The partners

You never deal with outsourced teams or intermediaries. You work directly with the two people diagnosing and building your fix.

AY

Ankita Yadav

Business diagnosis & client outcomes

Product and growth leader with a decade across Amazon, AWS, and venture-backed startups, most recently Principal Product Manager at Symbl.ai. Customer discovery and go-to-market by reflex — she works with you to understand the workflow, the economics and the outcome that actually matters, and keeps every technical decision anchored to it. She’s who says hello first.

AG

Aikansh Garg

Technical diagnosis & build

15+ years in operations and engineering leadership — a decade building marketplace, fulfillment and supply-chain systems at Amazon, and most recently as a Director of Engineering leading a 40-person engineering and operations org. He reads what your data means operationally — not just how to connect two APIs — and builds automations that hold up under real volume.

03 / How we operate

Three things that don’t change

Pragmatism over pedigree. We skip the agency theatre and measure ourselves on outcomes you can verify.

01

Start from the problem

We never recommend technology for its own sake. If a spreadsheet or a simple checklist solves it reliably, we’ll tell you to keep it.

02

Keep what works

You don’t need to replace Shopify, NetSuite, or your 3PL. We work inside the tools your team already knows, adding custom workflows, automation or decision support only where the existing stack leaves a meaningful gap.

03

Every fix needs an economic case

We measure success in hours saved, exceptions eliminated, and money recovered. If the math doesn’t work, we don’t do the work.
